Transitions and living in the Gateway City

This is a post I started in September, never finished, but wanted to post anyway.

It's been a while since I've had a 20 minute chunk of time to sit down and even process what to write regarding the last 2 months of life in the Olson household. In those 2 months, we've left dear friends and an incredible congregation in PA, moved 500+ miles away to MO, made the first house we've owned our home, Nathan has begun his PhD classes, I've met some delightful women to share life with, and Josiah has begun talking.....uffda! There is so much more that has happened in that time as well, but that at least gives you a start of what the Olson household has been up to.

After two moves within a year and a half, I can relax in knowing that we will be here in St. Louis, MO for several years. (Yes, Josiah has now officially lived in 3 different states in his lifetime and he's not even 2 years old yet.)We've thrown away all the boxes, as we won't be needing to repack them soon, and we've made this house our home. For the first week or so, I would find myself thinking about where we would be storing the boxes so that we can pull them out when we move....wait that's right, we're here for more than a year....*sigh* this will be nice settling down for a few years here.

That's our home! It is a cute little blue house on a one-way street in a small suburb of St. Louis, MO. Down the block you'll find a lovely little park and the grocery stores are less than ten minutes away. Concordia Seminary is less than 10 minutes away as well and Nathan has even been biking to class a couple of days per week to allow me to have the car here at home.

While Nathan is at school, Josiah and I busy ourselves playing outside, making up goofy games to play around the house, reading books, attempt at learning different letters of the alphabet, and as most toddlers would say is the most important activity....eating! :)

So there you have it! A quick synopsis of life in the Olson household 2 months post-move!
